First visit (lunch) and all of our food was delicious! Best fresh cut fries in town! BLT excellent. Philly cheeseteak excellent. Would like to suggest they add a couple of fresh light side item choices such as slaw, small side salad, etc.. Giving 4 stars because we were there for a very long time. Had to wait about 20 minutes to get check after asking twice. Only one server, and she was overwhelmed but remained cheerful. I would hate to see the service be your downfall with such great food! We will return to try other menu items but will have to allow enough time. Thank you.

Try the oakra, cheese dip, and corn fritters! The fresh cut, home made fries are great.

Had lunch today from Rectors.. it was very good !! The BLT is what I ordered which was amazing. Piled high with crisp bacon on what seemed like fresh sourdough bread yumm ! The sandwich came with fries and a side , I ordered Mac And Cheese. First off not a huge fan of the fries ( that is just personal taste) , I prefer crispy fries. The Mac and Cheese OMG it was the best !!! Loved it , creamy, cheesy and warm with just a little bit of crust , the best !!!! It was very much worth it and I look forward to trying something new.

I loved it! They did an amazing job at taking care of our large group. The building and outdoor seating is so fantastic and has such character. The food was brilliant! We didn't have a single bad thing or even boring! Jalepeno orange vinigarette, what?! Amazing! I am definitely adding them to our date night list! Have to add... Tried the Bored to Death sandwich. I am confident that was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life!!!

I've eaten there twice now and the food is very good.. but we were there an hour and fifteen minutes before our food arrived. Sunday, there were 5 of us and we had quite a wait then, too. Today , there were 11 and I understand that's a big deal but we went at 11:30 to get ahead of the rush. We enjoyed the time visiting but had we been there on our lunch hour, we wouldn't have gotten our food. I hope they can get the kinks worked out on the time it takes to get the food out. Again, the food was very good! The French Fries were hot and fresh!
    I will go back!

We had lunch at Rectors today and it was delicious! From the moment we entered we were greeted with smiling faces! My husband commented "This place is so clean." We ordered Grammys cheese dip as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Not your usual cheese dip,it was perfect. We all ordered different burgers and we all were happy with our choice. The fries were delicious. My husband kept commenting on everything being so fresh! We each ordered different sides and shared. Green beans, collard greens and corn fritters. We liked them all. We decided to order a piece of chocolate cake to share and it was fresh and tasty. I'm a picky eater and loved everything. The restaurant owner came to each table to visit and make sure everything was perfect. If you haven't tried Rectors you are missing out. As we drove away my husband asked if they served breakfast. They have a Sunday brunch and Bloody Mary we can't wait to try.

So, tonight I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek and try out the newest restaurant in Hot Springs: Rector's
Rector's is located at 538 West Grand Avenue where Molly's was many moons ago. The building is neat and has a lot of character. They also have a patio area outside that will be wonderful this fall.
But now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty: The food. Rector's menu has a good variety of well thought out foods with fun names you're sure to remember.
For starters, we ordered Grammy's Cheese Dip. The cheese dip was thick and creamy and had a wonderful flavor. I don't know of another restaurant in town with anything remotely similar.
For dinner I ordered the Chick Magnet, a cajun chicken sandwich on an onion bun. The blackened seasoning on this bird was off the chain! The smokey cheddar and cayenne aioli was the perfect blend of spiciness, smokiness and Cajuny-ness (<< so good I had to make up a new word to describe it). This sandwich is at the top of my new favorites list. It made me go want channel my inner-Troy Landry and stand up and yell "Choot'em Liz!"!
My wife got the build your own burger and had a bacon cheese burger juggernaut so big she could only eat half of it. The burger had the perfect grilled burger taste, the bacon was flavorful and thickly cut and the smokey cheddar made this burger a culinary work of art.
As far as the sides go, both of ours came with fresh, hand-cut fries. Good flavor and nicely cooked. My wife had a side of the mac & cheese and said it had a great flavor but was a little dry for her liking. I also ordered a side of the corn fritters. I was expecting a typical "corn fritter", you know the batter surrounding a little scoop of creamed corn, but these were waaaay more than that. The corn mixture was heads-and-shoulders above a typical fritter and the batter worked perfectly to encapsulate the tasty goodness.
Oh, and the ranch dressing got 2-thumbs up from me and my wife. (Hey, it goes well with fries and fritters!)
Overall impression: This is a brand new restaurant. The servers and staff are new, so there's a learning curve that will take a few days/weeks to smooth out. The menu is a bit "limited". The chef told me they can and will make custom orders with no problem, but that isn't conveyed well on the menu. The food we ordered was great as mentioned in my review above. We didn't order drinks or dessert, but Rector's has a full bar as well as a nice selection of desserts.
4-1/2 out of 5 stars and I will definitely be back!

Rector's opened in early August in the building that was formerly Jay's and before that Mollie's in Central Hot Springs, AR. It has a great ambiance was a nice outdoor patio. The service is very nice and "downhome". My wife and I had Heidi as a server and she was terrific. Great cocktails from the bar. I had a delicious Rueben sandwich with potato salad. A stuffed choclate cup cake with freshly brewed coffee for dessert. The servings were plentiful and prices reasonable. Great new addition to Hot Springs! We are looking forward to trying their Sunday Brunch.

Decided to check out a fairly new eatery in town. Was not disappointed. Service was excellent, food was great, atmosphere was just fun. Hamburgers are made to order and the Mac n cheese is homemade through out the day and is super rich and creamy. Our waiter, Rev, was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!!

Best hamburger ever in Hot Springs, beats Ohio Club, Burgers and More and The Shack by far!!!! All homemade and fresh!! The the cheese dip was great right behind the corn fritters fresh and hot. The waitress was a hoot and made it all that much better of a place!!!
Sit outside it's almost like home.

Great customer service and atmosphere. Food is made from scratch! Love the interior, which is decorated with local artists paintings. Highly recommend this place!
